Engineering Real Masonry
100% made in the USA. The highest heat reflective value of any prefabricated masonry fireplace.
Made from a proprietary blend of lightweight pumice aggregate, Mason-Lite fireplaces weigh half as much as traditional masonry. This allows for installations on combustible wood framing and multi-story spaces without costly concrete footing or steel reinforcement.
Say goodbye to the 'metal box' look. Achieve the authentic, grand appearance of a custom site-built fireplace with true firebrick linings, ready to be finished in heavy stone, brick, or stucco right up to the firebox opening.
Unmatched versatility. Whether you want a crackling wood fire on a backyard patio or a sophisticated high-capacity gas log set in a master suite, these prefabricated systems are tested and listed for both applications.

Architectural & Engineering FAQs
Understanding the modular masonry advantage for your structural planning.
Can Mason-Lite fireplaces be installed on upper levels or second stories?
Yes. This is one of the primary advantages of the system. Because it is 50% lighter than traditional masonry, it has been developed specifically for multi-level applications (structural engineering approval for the load limit of the flooring is required).
Can I install the fireplace directly on a combustible wood floor?
Yes. However, you must use the required metal base sold by Mason-Lite or construct a CMU block base. Air space clearances typically range from 6" to 8" depending on the model and application.
What type of chimney system is required?
Mason-Lite offers incredible flexibility. The fireplace has been tested and approved for use with both a masonry pumice chimney (manufactured by Mason-Lite) or a Class A listed metal chimney (such as DuraVent). B-Vent options are also available for gas-only applications.
Do I need to lay custom firebrick inside the firebox?
Yes, firebrick is required. You have two options: a mason can lay traditional firebrick inside the firebox, or you can use Mason-Lite's pre-made firebrick panels (available in Split Herringbone or Running Bond) which install in about 20 to 30 minutes.
What kind of exterior finishing materials can I use?
You have total architectural freedom. The robust masonry structure can support heavy non-combustible finishes at a typical thickness of 1¼”, such as natural stone, brick, marble, or tile. It provides a true, solid masonry feel with no tinny sounds or exposed metal framing.
